Oh HELL yeah! I was thinking the same thing when I saw that press conference. I was thinking the wife is going through one of two things:

1. She was roped into standing there by the PR people (If that's the case she needs to grow a set and stand up for herself.)

2. SHE wrote his speech for him and was standing there just to make sure he read it correctly all the while thinking "you dumbass peckerhead, I hope you fry, I hope your d*ck turns green and falls off, when we get home, I'm going to make your life a living hell you sorry sonofab*tch."

Something tells me though that it was more likely scenario number 1. and for that I feel sad.

This tradition, as its become, of the man standing there apologizing while the scorned wife stands there sets such a bad example. I'm so sick of people romanticizing these men. Kennedy is a perfect example. He was a womanizer yet so many people loved him despite what he did. Same with Clinton. I personally thought Clinton was ok, he did his job as president (much better than what we're stuck with now) but just because I think he was a good president doesn't mean I'm going to love the dude. He was wrong and he should have taken it like a man. Instead, he was a coward.

Instead of having us watch these guys give speeches where the wife stands there and makes it all better so the next guy can screw up, why don't these women take a stand and show how unacceptable this behavior is? I don't want to watch some sorry ass stand there and read "I'm sorry, I quit" off a piece of paper, I want to watch on the 5 o'clock news as his sorry ass is sent packing from his plush home in the burbs. I want to see him on an episode of Cops (and I hate that show but I would watch it for this).

That's one thing I don't like about Hilary. I'm not sure she sets a good example for young women here in America when it comes to this topic. Your husband cheats on you and you just brush it under the carpet? What message does that send to women about marriage and relationships? What message does that send to young men about marriage and relationships? How does this set an example and promote a good image of our country to others?

Foreign policy? Let's begin with what our domestic policy is first, shall we? How can you build trust in a place where the leaders cheat, lie and manipulate each other?

Is it really too much to ask?
